The Recording Academy® Texas Chapter Presents Daylong Professional Development Conference
The Recording Academy® Texas Chapter will hold the second annual GRAMMY® futureNOW at the W Austin Hotel on Saturday, August 16 from 11a.m. to 7p.m.The daylong conference will cover some of the most important issues trending in the recording community, including online streaming royalties, the increasing importance of advocacy for the creative community, music placement, songwriting, and the evolution of A&R.

Texas Chapter Board members, influential Texas music professionals and industry insiders will participate in panels and presentations focusing on the music business and reviewing the industry. GRAMMY futureNOW will feature event keynote speaker Terry Lickona, executive producer of “Austin City Limits,” one of the top music television programs.
GRAMMY futureNOW will also feature a keynote from Teresa LaBarbera Whites, executive producer and A&R executive. Whites is among the most successful A&R executives in the music industry for the past 20 years and has worked with Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, Pink and Britney Spears, among others.
