“Colourblind” featuring Andrew Cole’s vocals soared to number 17 on Billboard’s top 100 (Canada) last week while he was visiting Austin for a little inspiration from friends and the “live music capitol of the world,” as temperatures dipped into the 30s here.
In this interview in front of the iconic Continental Club, he tells us what it’s like to have one of his songs transformed by EDM artist Glenn Morrison, and opening for Lorde at the Preakness in front of 100,000 people. He catches us up on his anti-bullying project that he’s been working on for three years with some of the biggest names in the business – Slash, ZZ TOP, Jane Lynch, Cedric The Entertainer, Charlie Sheen, Jeff Goldblum, OZZY & Sharon Osbourne, Lemmy, Julian Lennon and Snoop Dogg to name a few – and we get a sneak preview of Tom Cochrane’s song “Diamonds” as he and Andrew lay it down in the studio.
